Course descriptionIn this one-day session, surgeons learn the various laparoscopic approaches to band gastroplasty one of the most commonly performed procedures for weight control. Participants are also taught which kinds of patients are appropriate candidates for these procedures, and whether there are true contra-indications. In addition, surgeons will observe live operations being carried out and view movies concentrate on the technical details. The course also focuses on what to do in the case of previous upper-abdominal surgery, as well as how to follow up lap-band procedures. |
