Colorectal Surgery
Course descriptionIt appears that laparoscopy actually reduces long-term mortality in Dukes C colonic cancer. This two-day session tackles a number of questions and issues, including whether laparoscopic colectomy should be performed on all cancer patients, and what to do in the case of total mesorectal excision. The course also addresses the question of whether or not trocar site recurrences are a myth, and what the approach for a benign disease should be. Participants observe live left hemicolectomy, right hemicolectomy and rectopexy operations being carried out. |
