Stage 2
The surgeon stands between the legs of the patient. The patient is put in a horizontal position. The transverse colon is carefully and the angle of Treitz is recognized. The first jejunal loop and the small bowel is runned down until the already performed anastomosis is reached, together with the cut end of bowel. By doing this manoevre one makes sure that there is no twist in the small bowel loops. The cut bowel is snapped by a grasper introduced in the hypogastric trocar.
