Introduction
The Clinic of Digestive Surgery (CDS) at Brussels' St. Pierre University Hospital is recognized as a leader in numerous types of GI treatment, but our surgeons have done particularly advanced work in the following laparoscopic procedures:Over the last 10 years, the medical staff of St. Pierre’s CDS have performed more than 10,000 laparoscopic operations – including over 200 abroad. The hospital has to its credit a number of firsts in GI laparoscopic surgery, including the first-ever laparoscopic bariatric operation, the first-ever use of computer- and robotic-enhanced procedures, and remote tele-medical operations.
